follows Yusuke Urameshi, a delinquent high school student who dies saving a child from being hit by a car. His death is unexpected, as he was a bad person who had never done anything selfless before. As a result, both Heaven and Hell reject his soul, and he is given a second chance at life if he agrees to become a Spirit Detective.
As a Spirit Detective, Yusuke must investigate and resolve supernatural cases involving spirits and demons. He is joined by Kuwabara, his childhood friend; Kurama, a fox demon; and Hiei, a fire demon. Together, they face a variety of threats, including powerful demons, evil spirits, and even the forces of Heaven and Hell.
The series is set in a world where humans, spirits, and demons coexist. Yusuke and his friends must learn to navigate this complex world and use their powers to protect the innocent. Along the way, they also learn valuable lessons about themselves and the importance of friendship.
