เรื่องย่อ มังกรหยก 2008 (The Eagle Shooting Heroes) ก๊วยเชาเทียน และ เอี้ยทิซิม สองพี่น้องได้คบหากับปรมาจารย์นักพรตสำนักช้วนจินก่า คู่ชูกี่ ซึ่งทั้งสองกำลังจะมีบุตร คู่ชูกี่จึงได้ทิ้งมีดสั้นวิเศษ 2 เล่มให้แก่ทั้งคู่ โดยสลักชื่อ เอี้ยคัง และ ก๊วยเจ๋ง ไว้คนละด้าม ต่อมาอ้วนง้วนเลียกองค์ชายแห่งกิมก๊กถูกใจ เปาเสียะเยาะ ภรรยาของเอี้ยทิซิม จึงวางแผนจ้างให้ขุนนางชาวฮั่นมาฉุดคร่าพาตัวไปให้ ก๊วยเชาเทียนถูกลูกหลงจนตายไป เอี้ยทิซิมไม่รู้เป็นตายร้ายดี หลีเพ้ง ภรรยาของก๊วยเชาเทียน ถูกขุนนางชั่วจับตัวเป็นตัวประกัน เปาะเสียะเยาะถูกอ้วนง้วนเลียกหลอกลวง จนยินยอมเป็นพระสนมให้เพื่อรักษา เอี้ยคัง ลูกของตนเอาไว้ ด้านคู่ชู่กี่ มาช่วยสหายไม่ทัน จึงได้ตัดพ้อตัวเองว่าไม่เอาไหน และไล่ล่าขุนนางชั่ว จนไปขัดแย้งกับเจ็ดประหลาดแห่งกังน้ำ และทั้งสองฝ่ายก็ไม่ยอมใคร แต่คู่ชู่กี่ไม่อยากหักหาญน้ำใจกันไปมากกว่านี้ จึงได้คิดอุบายชุบเลี้ยงบุตรของสหายทั้งสองขึ้น และตกลงกับเจ็ดประหลาดแห่งกังน้ำว่า อีก 16 ปี ให้หลัง ให้พาบุตรของสหายที่ฝ่ายตนได้ฝึกมาประลองยุทธ์กันที่ดินแดนกังน้ำ หลี เพ้ง หาทางจนหลบหนีขุนนางชั่วมาได้ แต่เคราะห์กรรมกลับซัดพาไปอยู่ ณ ดินแดนมองโกล ที่นั่นเอง ที่ๆ ก๊วยเจ๋ง ได้ถือกำเนิดขึ้น มังกรหยก 2008 (The Eagle Shooting Heroes)
