The series picks up three years after the events of the first season, with Cha Hyun-su (played by Song Kang) having transformed into a “monster” who retains his human consciousness. He grapples with the constant battle within himself and seeks a cure for his condition. Meanwhile, the world outside Green Home remains ravaged by monsters, and the survivors must fight for their lives.
Hyun-su encounters a new group of survivors who have formed their own community. They must learn to trust each other and work together to survive. However, they face dangers not only from the monsters but also from other humans who have succumbed to fear and desperation.
